Outside the housing block lays Rotterdams most important public square with the market and its famous Market Hall. Inside, the lay-out of the market stalls is translated to the internal patio garden, as a quite green space for the inhabitants of the 230 apartments. The use of large continuous reservoirs for the plants and rows of birches, offer the inhabitant an equal amount of strolling paths and opportunity to sit. At night the lighting plan emphasizes the texture and lines of the patio.
